And so it begins...the adventure of a lifetime.
And it starts with Snooki's pregnancy. And also hunger games. And a double jack and coke for blinkin and a double Malibu and pineapple for ginger.

Sleepless in Chicago
Night number two with barely any sleep. I love this city and this city loves me. So much it keeps me up for days on end.

Chi-town adventures
So. Went to sleep at 12:30, woke up at 3:55. Alone. Epic sad face. Adult win: I had time to make breakfast! However, shame on me for relying on the ex for a ride. Couldn't rely on him then and I clearly can't now. My b. Learning to live wonderfully sometimes requires these hiccups.

So. I am putting on my best suit, pearls and pumps and taking a Monday afternoon flight to Louisville, Kentucky for a final interview for my dream job. I want to be a public defender in rural Kentucky, and I have a real shot at it. I want it so bad I can taste it.
Let's hope that the girl gets the job AND gets to keep the guy.

Strange love
Frat boys, beer bottles, lawyers, beacon hill apartments...who would have thought those things would signal anything other than douche bag to me? Well, I was wrong. About all of them- at least in part. I still find the prevailing frat boy "sup bra" persona gross. I still don't enjoy drinking beer AT ALL. Dating an almost lawyer isn't half bad. And beacon hill...well, it isn't so bad either. Especially when one of my favorite people and his fantastic roommate live there. But frat boys and beer and almost lawyers aren't always bad, especially when they come into your life at the most unexpected time and turn everything upside down in a way you never thought possible.
I'm sure he felt the same way about the sarcastic, public defender, liquor-and-wine-drinking, Revere-dwelling divorcee I am. That, and of course my crazy cat lady tendencies. Have no fear though- I only have one cat and only plan on expanding the fam by one more and maybe a puppy. Or two puppies. Puppies are always better in pairs...and so are we.
